holes in the plenum

I removed the plenum since I'm replacing some gaskets on my 98 GTP. Under the plenum there are 4 water-jet pockets and two are blocked by some kind of material. Its hard to tell if they are supposed to be blocked or not. It looks like some filler material so I poked a hole through it with a screwdriver. I either need to repair those hole seals or open them. It seems kind of weird so what do you think?

Look at the bottom of your intake manifold. Only two of the holes actually pass coolant through. Clean all the built up crap out of the two plugged holes to stop it from breaking loose and plugging up your cooling system.

Those are your throttle body coolant passages. A lot of people usually block them off anyways, But to do that you usually use a filed dime. Like stated above clean the stuff out and put it back together. I doubt that the gasket material will plug up the collant system.
