So just as the title says i hit a pothole and now these two lights are on. They usually come on right when i go into drive if not a few moments later. What could the problem be....? thanks

Sounds like you messed up a bearing. The abs sensor is a part of the wheel bearing asm. Or you have a bad connection or rubbed wire at a sensor. If the abs gets irronious readings from a sensor your tcs is also disabled with abs.

I also noticed that under moderate to firm braking the steering gets alot tighter and a bit harder to control..which never happened before the lights came on.

Make sure the variable effort steering harness is hooked up. Ther are two wires and a plug that come off of the rack and pinion. It's kind of hard to get to but can be accesed from under the car.

It is also possible that the speed sensitive steering is affected by the irronious readings from the wheel speed sensors. Seeing as the firmness fo the steering changes with your speed.

i just replaced a bearing a few days ago and just as u said when breakin or even cornering it was harder to stear...now its so much easier to drive...id check that bearing

You now need to have the codes scanned to see which sensor is acting up.. I'd take it to autozone or some place free. This is something simple that they can't screw up!

I just fixed ths problem on my 97 GP GT and it wound up being something stupid. I got up under the car with the tires in the front all the way to the left or right and i found that the Wheel speed sensor was not where it was supposed to be. Clipped it back up to the spot it is supposed to be and now those lights went off no problems since that.

Actually, i noticed the same exact thing but i couldnt get it back in so i thought nothing of it...i'll have to look at it again
