• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I am still trying to work out the "bugs" :th_spidersmilie::th_spidersmilie::th_frog::th_frog: out of the GTP since you all helped me to get it running & again a HUGE THANK YOU for that !!
however I am having to come to you again (sorry) to help figure out my tranny issue. Please see the video (link is below) I took of the car running and I hope this will help determine what could be wrong with it.

I am not sure that it is shifting into 4th gear..but I'm not sure.
Also if it's the 4th gear splines (like these are known to have issues with) would it sound like it's slipping or at least trying to go into fourth gear?
I am wondering if it's an electrical or Computer issue?
This car had been burned and the wiring harness was replaced ...

Can't wait ti hear back from you all, since ya'll seem to know your stuff !!!
Thanks in advance

your rpm's should be closer to 2,000 at 70 mph.

looks like you lost 4 th gear. next trip out at hwy speed pull it into 3 rd gear, if the rpm dont change your 4 th hub is dead.

same thing, pull the shiftier to 3 and see if they go higher, if they go up, you were in OD.

if they stay the same, you were in 3 already and lost 4 th gear, aka overdrive.

I know I have 4th gear. Because as soon as I hit 45mph, it will shift. I can go 44 all day long, but as soon as I go 45, it'll shift.

Thanks ScottyDoggs for the advice, I did try what you said this morning on the way to work. I was running about 65 & pulled it back into 3rd and RPM's go up approx 1-200 Not Like pulling back from 3rd to second.

mguzzo - I'm like you I don't think its shifting from 3 to fourth at all ??? but i know nothing about an automatic transmission on how they work

IF it isn't shifting into 4th could it be something electrical that could cause the issue?
could it be a shift solenoid?

Would it help to post another video of me pulling it back into 3rd?

Again thanks for everyone help!!
