High Pitched Whine noise when I press on the gas



it might even be your Power steering pump.
check to see if you are low on power steering fluid.
my car was low on PS fluid and was making a whine noise, saw it was low, added more, whine was gone and it hasnt returned.
and if your PS levels are fine, its probably not that lol
 


My girl friends literally bought a grand prix GT2 yesterday (04) and It makes the same whine your talking about. It sounds like its freakin' supercharged. Also when the car is at a stop and you move whe wheel the powersteering makes a howling noise. So like ctracer said it might be the PS pump.
 
Locate the alternator, then look way down underneath it. You can run your hand along the firewall and get to the cap. Will need a long funnel to fill/top off.
