HID Bulb Gone In 4 Months???

So I finally decided to hook up my other HID wiring harness to my foglights since they would flicker sometimes/one would come on/sometimes never come on. After regrounding and blowing a couple fuses, I finally got everything right. But now only 1 of my Foglamp HIDs work. I diagnosed the problem and basically narrowed it down to the bulb just not working anymore. I pulled out the appropriate relay for the Foglamps located in the fusebox underneath the hood and its a bit brownish in color around the sides and on top. Is this the culprit? Or would a blown relay have more a more serious reaction than just 1 bulb working. Or is my HID bulb just toasties. The ballasts and everything else works, I even tried a different harness and its the same result.

Thanks. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

tried swapping bulbs from side to side?

If the same bulb works/not works then its the bulbs.

Mine blew in 9 months.

No more cheap HID's.........

Ill try that. I got my kit from DDM when they were having a sale... I didnt think DDM was a cheapo HID kit.

Ok so the bulb does indeed work. I hooked it up on the other side and it lit up just fine. I also tried the other wiring harness again just to double check and its the same effect. Only the driver-side lamp lights up. So since all of my HIDs work, both harnesses work like they should, its gotta be something internal on the vehicle. Could it be that Micro Relay in the fuse box? Ive never experienced anything like this before...

some kits you can actually plug the harnesses in backwards! you should maybe give that a try. i had this problem when first instaling. its kinda stupid lol

Yes. DDM is a VERY cheap kit, that's why it's so cheap lol. You want something that will last? Shell out the big dough for a morimoto hid kit from the retrofit source. Most people don't realize you can get morimoto hid kits with pretty much any size bulb.
