I have a 2000 gtp with 111000 miles on it. I just purchased it from a relative. I don't trust most repair shops and or can not afford them so I try and do research on the Internet and then do the repairs myself. So far I have replaced all brake pads and rotors, alternator, supercharger idler pulley and belt, front sway bar, both headlights and Foglights, blower motor, several lights in the dash and a leak on the passenger side front. Most of the info for repairs I got on this site so thanks. I hope I can help others with the things I have done.
 


Seems you only missed three problem areas:

Hubs

Powersteering.

LIM gaskets.

First two are replace as needed.

LIM probably needs to be replaced regardless.
 
The hubs may be next I do have a vibration problem now but I am not sure where to post my problem yet. Can you help?
 
could be tires out of balance, maybe a bad cv shaft.

wheel bearings normmaly set off the ABS light or hum at freeway speeds and grind while taking turns.
 
Ok, here is what it is doing; while giving it gas at any speed even holding the speed I get a pulsating vibration which increases a little. If I let off the gas it's as smooth as can be even over bumps. What do you think and should I be posting this here?
 


i had a similar shake that turned out to be a missfire. id check the plugs and wires. do you have an ses light? if you open up the throttle while its shaking you may notice the ses light blinking. this signifys a catalyst harming situation, which would mean its most likey a missfire.
 
I will have to try a tuneup next. The car sat for about three and a half years before I bought it. Also the ses lights comes on and off along with the engine light but it is not consistain. Thanks
 
I would add some lucas fuel injector cleaner to your next fill up, then do a seafoam treatment (fuel and brake lines) shortly after, followed by new plugs. Another cheap replacement that may help you is replacing the fuel filter.
 
Welcome to the board.

I concur on the seafoam, seen good results. I would buy two bottle of it, one full in fuel on fillup, then about 2/3 in the engine crank, then the last 1/3 in the vacuum line connected to the brake booster. There is a write up somewhere which I recommend you reading. Also, you will need to replace your oil and spark plugs. And sparks plug wires would also be good on change.
