Hi! New GXP Owner Here!

Hello all! I'm new here. Honestly, I haven't joined a forum before. I just purchased a 2007 Grand Prix GXP a week ago. It was a big step for me having owned a 97 Sunfire GT for the past 13 years, (no car payments for 8!) I wasn't planning on buying a new car, but saw this GXP and HAD to have it! Always loved Pontiac & Grand Prix. I owned an 83 Grand Prix a few years before I got the Sunfire. I'm wanting to learn all I can about my new car. Figured this looked like a good place to get REAL info from actual owners. A little about my car. It has a new motor with only a few thousand miles on it. Apparently, the previous owner had to replace it.. The odometer reads 60,000. It has tinted windows, the Magnaflow exhaust, aftermarket brakes, spoiler, purple led headlights, & some sharp American Racing rims. I've never beena fan of 4 door cars, but I am in love with the looks of this car. I tried to add a picture from my phone, but I'm having trouble. Will have to try later from my computer. I love all the extras this car has to offer. My Sunfire didn't even have power locks or windows! So, I feel like I'm definitely moving up in the world! Lol!I'm a woman, not a "gear head" or very knowledgeable about high performance type cars. That is another reason I joined this forum. I want to learn! So far, this car runs & performs great. One thing I have noticed, which I guess I may need to post in another area, is that it seems to feel & smell hot all the time. No one else who has been in it with me seems too worried about this, but I am just a little concerned that it isn't normal. I have read a lot about transmission issues with these cars. Yesterday, after about 5 - 10 miles of highway driving (not hot rodding, staying around 65, and a few miles of in town driving, about 80-something outside, the transmission temp hit 210 degrees. This seems high to me. Is it normal or should I be concerned? The main temp gauge hasn't gone much over the halfway mark. I didn't get any kind of warranty with the car, OR an owners manual (which I just ordered online today.) Any advice you all can give me as a new owner & new member of this forum would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
