HF Floor Jack Squeaking

SubwayGuy

Who is this guy?
So we've got a Harbor Freight floor jack that squeaks as weight is applied to it when raising a vehicle. Now I've used this thing while it was raining and when snow is on the ground so I have a feeling that is a large cause of this. I sprayed everything down with WD-40, but haven't used it since so I don't know if it worked or not. Is there anything else I should do? I was also thinking of regreasing the body with the supplied fitting.

i just jack up the car below the oil filter so it drains all over my jack and i cuss and wipe it down after the filter slips out of my hand all over the thing.

two birds, one stone

Lololol, I'll just jack up it up the pan in that case. It's already leaking, so who knows lol.

How about you put the grease gun to the grease zerk on the jack and give it a little maintenance. Yeah..that's a grease zerk, oddly that grease stuff keeps things quiet.

Mine has done the exact same thing since I bought it. It only makes noise when there is load applied. I've greased the zerk with no change

Reminds me of a hilarious standby about the phrase "killing two birds with one stone" and how it's almost impossible and when it works, it's usually a horrible outcome.
