For the past few weeks ive noticed my boost is getting lower and lower. I dont know what is happening. Now its down to 2 bars of boost on full throttle. Anyone have this happen? It seems like my gas mileage is going down too.. Please if anyone has had this problem i need some help

What do you mean by scan gauge? And yea it idles normal. When its cold around 1000 rpm and warm about 8000

My dad works for a dealer and has a scan tool that checks engine codes and everything. The person who had the car before me has a msd ignition in it and thats all i believe.

No, no codes. At first i thought it was because i had a new catalytic converter installed but it kept getting less and less boost.

I just noticed tonight accelerated hard and only like two bars of boost showed up. I havnt had time to really see if its any slower. Didnt seem a ton slower.

my buddy actually had the same problem tonight, he just tightened/replaced all his t fittings under his supercharger and it fixed the problem.

Problem could be a vacuum leak, however it's more likely the boost control soleniod is going bad. While doubtful the actuator could have an issue as well.

How would i go about finding the vacuum leak? If i push down on one of the belts should there be any play? It still sounds like the supercharger is running

Very much so.

Probably the rubber "T" fittings and lines around the fuel rail and blower and the one from the TB to the EVAP solinoid. Most common problem with these cars besides LIM gaskets...dry rot.

All you have to do is replace the rubber "T" fittings and plastic lines around the blower and fuel rail like I stated. You can buy the entire set from a GM dealer for less than $30.

Ok thanks. Is it going to hurt the car if i drive it like this ? Is it actually affecting my boost or just the gauge?

Obvious Vac leak.

just as general maintance replace your "T" Fittings and al your Vac hoses

any GM dealer has the Whole Vac line set for pretty cheap or you can go to an autoparts store and get rubber line and run those.
