98 Grand Prix Gt

Well as my name says i have a 98 GT, haven't had any issues with the tranny until 3 days ago when it started, under 1/4th to 1/3rd acceleration the transmission feels like its hesitating. The car basically starts to go but then applying throttle it shutters, and feels like the gear is slipping. I checked the transmission fluid it was way high, so I took enough out to get it to level. At the same time i should mention i have had zzp shorter dogbones in for about 7 months now with no issues. I remember reading that they can cause issues, but i'm not sure if that is the attributing factor or not.
Other thought is that its something computer related, because when i put it into 1st gear manually it doesnt hesitate or shutter, I let off to shift to 2nd and its fine. But if its solely in drive it will hesitate. I will upload a video of it soon for clarity sake.
Would like to avoid full tranny swap if i can haha
