Heres my Mod order list. Looking for suggestions.

Hey everyone,

Alright here is what I'm going to order in the next day or 2. Please let me know if I'm missing something or if you see a problem with the mods.

-Wizair (with Amsoil filter)
-TB Spacer
-3.5" Press-on Pulley
-3" downpipe w/ hiflo Cat
-Front Powerlog (ceramic coated)
-Water pump underdrive pulley
- Overkill PCM

Is there any other supporting mods I may need? I've already got the 180tstat. Should I change sparkplugs? Any comments or help would be appreciated.
 


forget the throttle body spacer. its a waste of your money. get something to scan your car too, that 3.5 might be more than you can handle with those mods. ive seen less running fine, some are freaks.
 
forget the wizair. the tubing sucks on it. get the zzp intake black tubing for 10$ a foot thats what im running now.
 
Forget about the OD pulley, spacer, press on pulley. Get a MPS with whay you'll save.

intake is up to you but if you are pretty handy you can make one for a LOT cheaper.
 


i have the water pump pulley on my car it is significantly lighter than the steel brick GM used. i bought it when it was on sale from ZZP, so for 40$ sounded like a good deal.
 
My car is still under extended warranty and will be for the next couple years and I will probably renew it after that. The 3.5" press on from zzp looks like the factory pulleys.

I've decided that I'm going to spend the extra money and get the Wizair.

Why wouldn't the underdrive pulley help any?
 
tubing can be bought for cheap. the box is where the money is at. its an awesome design. i just think it needs a few small tweaks.
 


Suggestion.....

3.5 MPS .... period... if you have to take it in for warranty... swap it out...
ZZP FWI.... it's inexpensive, it's durable, it works
WP UD Pulley...scrap it... save the money and buy colder plugs
Everything else sounds good... But with the money you saved on the Wizair and WP pulley you could add that to the money for your log and just buy headers plus a little extra... just an idea...
 
well he wants to buy the wizair for the good looking intake. and it does look pretty good. everytime i pop my hood i get compliments on it and it problew works just as well as any other intake.

Yes... they WP Pulley is $70... the Wizair is $200.... The P-log with coating and gaskets is $211...Thats $481... Instead...Screw being all pretty...Spend $40 on the intake... Get the Pacesetter headers for $359 plus the other hardware crap needed and then you could run an even smaller pulley... It won't be flashy under the hood...who cares... Your kill ratio would go up...
 
i mean dont get me wrong. you have a point. but some people wanna look good while doing it. the only reason i say something about it is because we had a long discussion about it and i mentioned the FWI but he wanted it to look good. thats why hes going with the wizair
 


haha that would be cool. maybe some turn downs coming off the down pipe right behind the front tire like the buick on pimp my ride. that would be cool. flat black. some black wheels, open exhaust. YEAHHH :)
 
Good idea on the Underdrive pulley, I went ahead and srapped that. I got a front ceramic coated plog, 3" dp, 3.5" pulley, wizair with amsoil filter. For the pcm I went ahead and scrapped the overkill pcm. my car just seems really inconsistent at times and I'm thinking it might be experiencing a decent amount of KR. I'm going to get it dyno tuned instead, the guy is keeping my car for 4 days and he said it would have 0 KR when he was done with it.
