okay my wife was driving the car and something went wrong. idk b/c i wasn't with her but now the car will not accelerate properly.
I have a 2006 GP GT. As soon as the car hits 30 mph it stops accelerating almost completely and starts to make a chugging noise (kinda like running out of gas). But i have plenty of gas and use premium. I know that i need to replace the cv joints soon. Is this the problem? maybe its the fuel injectors or fuel pump. I am stumped b/c have never encountered this before.

thats only because of spell checker, thats why you are faster im fixing my typo's lol and you know a lot more about everything.

nice! quick responses...No check engine light is on. Now once it gets to 30 and if i barely barely push the gas pedal it will accelerate but if i push it down too far..it starts making that noise like its running out of gas and barely will accelerate. Problems that i have with the car right now...i know there is a hole in the exhaust manifold but has been there for a while and cv joint needs to be fixed.

Hole in the manifold...that may be skewing your fueling.

or causing a ton of KR which would rip your power away w/o a light.

i have over 130,000 miles on it. And it only does that when i go over 30 miles an hour. And if bogs down when i accelerate. If i push the gas pedal down about 1/2 inch..it will accelerate but if i push the pedal down any further than that while going over 30 mph...it bogs down. And it does that almost everytime and just started yesterday

if you can get your car up in the air, ramps, jack stands. let the car cool off, and bang the cat with the palm of your hand, hit it hard, if you hear anything rattling around the cat is broken inside and causing the clog.

you can also remove the o2 sensor and see if it runns better, yeah its a huge ass exhaust leak but if you can accelerate its the cat.

ok...i took off the o2 sensor off before the cat and the car still won't accelerate...so i dont thinks its the cat thats doing this and there is still no check engine light.
