PERF shift is well um.......performance shift, like the names says.
perf shift is only active when you are going wide open throttle and it all it does it firm up the shifts and make the engine rev another 200-300 rpm to get a little more power out of it.
It is perfectly fine to keep perf shift on all the time and then that way whenever you wanna punch it and go fast it will be on.
