help with rear Koni red adjustment mechanism

I was fortunate enough to get this low-priced good performing car with Koni shocks already installed. The fronts just needed one click more damping to really improve the ride. I'm going to fix the loose steering rack or tie rods soon.

The rears have a different appearing mechanism than the fronts. It has this bent post sticking out from the top. Do I need a special tool to adjust? I don't just want to go at it with a pair of pliers. How many clicks, and which direction increases damping?

That looks right to me. I use to run these, someday I will send them out for a rebuild. They came with an adjuster that told which way to turn.

The AGX are similar. They have a knob with numbers. No idea how to index the knob. 2 could be 4 ya know ?
