HELP! white smoke out of exhaust after accelteration ??

yyeah i got a electronic cutout on it. im only running 7lb boost though. mann i want to hit those kinda numbers!!!! is there anyway to tell what kind of turbo i got on it?? i bought the car modded already, then i got the tune done on it. but yeah ima try n find out what turbo is on it. what would a rebuild cost you think??
 


Ah, I made 284whp on 9psi so you're in the right ball park for the boost that you're running.

Rebuild from a reputable shop will end up ranging from $300-$400 where as a new turbo (not from ebay) will set you back at least $850

damn 11.80? what other mods u have with that setup to run that though? yeah im just running the 7lb boost for now, I may look into getting it rebuild soon, but how long does it take till it just breaks? Car runs awesome and yesterday had no smoke come out after flooring it. Maybe i can just get away with doing the seal on the turbo since it's not too bad... i dont know!

Rebuilding on your own there is always going to be some risk that the rebuild won't fix the issue. Like I said, when I attempted to rebuild mine there were tolerance inside the center section that were out of spec and I would have never of known. Only a turbo repair/rebuild shop had the tools to be able to determine that. I was told that even if I did my rebuild perfect that I still would have been blowing oil out of the exhaust of the turbo.
 
ok, im going to stop by this shop here, they been around for many years and the specialized in turbo builds. I'm going to try n get an estimate, but if i can get my hands on a used but still good turbo for around 500 then i might as well take that!!!

Besides the P61, that was also with the ZZP W2A IC. Before I went to the A2A. I'm also still on a stg 2 heads and cam.

You have to see what it will cost to rebuild and the cost for a new replacement. Like Greg said, it's taking a chance on a rebuild
