not sure what is going wrong, but it seems the intake tube is a little long, or a mandrel is at the wrong angle. how much of the inner fender brace do i have to remove? i trimmed some of the bracket where the old air box was that the inner brace bolts to. running out of daylight, and needing some help! i have some pics. i didnt trim any of the inner fender brace, this may correct the strange angle on the intake as well. here it goes

how much do i have to hack off on the brace? half of it? would like to keep some on the left to keep the fender in right spot...

I believe i cut the whole thing out. It does line up perfectly once you get everything cut the way it needs to be. Also a tip for u on the heat shield he gave u cut a piece of rubber hose ie fuel line or something an put it around the hole otherwise your intake will rattle on that shield

i didnt get the shield yet, he was really busy around christmas...and then i went on deployment. but yeah, probably going to stop off at hope depot and get roof flashing for now, until parts come in. does he also send you rubber molding with the block off plate? so trim the whole bracket off, aye! something to do when i get back from family outting.

i didnt get anything extra w it accept scrws to put it in w/. i just trimmed the hole but u could trim the whole thing i suppose

well, trip to hope depot was nice, one guy didnt even know what roof flashing was. the older guy knew exactly what and where it was at, which was awesome. got some high temp paint, said it was 5.69 on the rack at auto bloze...but was 7.99..oh well, and didnt get my discount either. but we will see after i get it all together!!

yeah i did, he is sending me the parts left out. ok, so i have the inner fender brace out...the tube still seems an inch too long. when its at the right angle for the tb it really pushes out the lower fender portion of the bumper. if i set the filter where it would sit normally back there, its at an odd angle on teh tb still. i cut out that brace, still no go...anyone have suggestions or same problems? it seems as if pipe is just one inch too long before the last bend...

little too late man, already purchased the pipe and half the kit for 145, why spend more? and hacked off my bracket, before i read that it could be unbolted and bent back...oh well huh? maybe i can cut the pipe in that section and shorten it and recouple it...plus the iat port is just a little too far for the stock wiring to reach, he said it would fit fine stock wires...maybe i should have just waited for it and built my own 5 months after i bought it...oh well, cest le vie!!

I have the same intake mine reached just fine but it is a little bit of a stretch for the wires.. but the iat sensor will connect just fine as long as everything is in the right place

how far in from the end is the hole? mine is still about 2 inches too short. it still seems like it is angled down overall. i trimmed and bent most of that bracket off, and it still seems to hit the fender. maybe the pipe is too long between one of them mandrels? no idea...just checking. so right now, the sensor it just chilling by the coupler sitting there. i know, bad...and it sounds like a bov on my engine..i know bad need to plug the hole if driving...but can someone post a pic of the inner fenderwell to show clearance and fitment of their install? please?? its driving me nucking futs!!

I cant post a pic for you as its all buttoned up an would be a neusance right now nut like i said u really have to chop the whole bracket out i tried saving part and bending an all kinds of stuff. it really doesnt work u have to cut the whole thing out for it to fit like it should and as far as the wiring i just cut mine and extended it. i have i believe the very first 1 he sold. mine is the one he has pictured in the sale post. i dont think hes made any changes to it so it really should fit just fine

ok i will bust out the dremel later on when the block off plate gets here, paint it up all nice, and set it up and paint it. yeah, i tried trimming it all down with tin snips...talk about crazy in there. it still sticks out a little bit, like maybe inch, but everything that faced downward on that bracket is gone. its just a little crooked in there now, but it works fine, minus the iat hole. if it was drilled on the other side of where it was, or just a little closer to the tb end it would be awesome, but this thing really sounds mean when you hit it good. growls nicely...can only imagine what it sounds like on a supercharger....oh man..

Good luck gettin it finished i used a sawzall it made shortwork of getting that bracket out. an lets just say that on a blower motor it sounds mean!

heck yeah!! wish i had the s/c...top swap is too much right now. i still thought of a turbo setup, but still also too much...

Yea welcome to the world of modding. Gotta pay to play! an its not always cheap. I gotta pay for parts i didnt intend to have to payfor anytime soon right now. spun a rodbearing so that means new crank or having my fixed, main seals, rod bearings, main bearings, cam bearings, oilpump, oil pan gasket, an possibly a new pan. Might as well replace it all while i have the motor out.
