Help.. Strange Idle (video) after 1.9's/LIM gasket -

Attempted cam install, failed to get the crank pulley off. While I was down there I replaced the LIM gasket and put the 1.9's from my shelf back into the genV. I have plog/pem 3'' down pipe, ngk55's gapped .045.

SES came on, powrtunr scan said lean fuel trim and misfire. Cleared it and it hasnt been back since.- As far as driving acceleration, WOT , cruise, MPG is good it just seems to be idle. It would be nice if all I had to do was raise the idle RPM, but instincts say its something more then that.

I have checked/switched plugs
checked/switched wires
removed and inspected injectors
changed fuel filter
changed vac tubing
checked s/c gasket

I have included a video of idle to help troubleshoot. One is just the exhaust because you cant hear it well in the garage.

Your help is always appreciated.

lean fuel trim= Vac leak. Pegged LTFT's=vac leak. Id say you have a vac leak lol

by using brake cleaner or carb cleaner and spray around all the areas of vacuum(LIM, TB, vac lines, booster, ect.) and whenever you hear or see it idle up/rev up you have found your vac leak.

done it a few times on a contour i had and my 6

Excellent, much gratitude to both of you for the help. I can't imagine what inflated number a shop would have charged to do that 30minutes worth of work.

Spraying brake cleaner showed a sneaky leak under the blower snout due to that rediculous metal s/c gasket. Put the old zzp gasket back on with some gasket maker and its working great now.(I've ordered a new replacement)

Friedchicken - Its really easy, check youtube for videos of people spraying their engine, either carb cleaner or brake cleaner will work and listen for a change in the engines idle. I sprayed around all the vac lines first then worked my way down.

garlock suck balls man use a oem gasket i had a garlock with my ssm90 kit and it leaked then bought oem and it was fine

Ill play devils Advocate. Ive been running on a Garlock for 2 years on the IC and a Garlock for 6 years on the TB

make you own gaskets, the material is like $10 a role or something at advance or napa and use some gasket maker goop around the hole thing too. and the gaskets arent the problem its how evenly you torque it down.

Def a vac leak...your vac is only seeing -10 at idle. Mine reads about -16
*Edit: Nevermind, I see it's been resolved. Thats why you read everything before posting..lol
