Help please!! No power to aftermarket HU after Bose amp removal

In my 2000 GTP, I have the bose system. I have an aftermarket HU and a 4-channel amp; the only thing I need for my HU is the power, ground, and remote accessory. All of the other stock speaker wires are not used. I was going to put a sub in my trunk, but the stock bose amp was in the way. As I removed it, the big connector was dangling in the way, so, I cut it, thinking it wouldn't be used because I am not using the amp. As a result, I have no power to my HU. How do I fix this without reinstalling the stock bose amp? How do I get power, ground, and remote accessory to my HU? PLEASE HELP.

Likely when you cut the connector instead of leaving it be, you shorted the power and ground wires together...which blew the fuse. Check fuses and tape up the power wires in the trunk so you don't have further problems.

It's ok.. not many people feel the connector is in the way after removing the amp. The problem won't come up for a couple more years. Although not that long ago a guy cut the wires at the connectors at the speedo. Needless to say..he's working on 85 wire reconnect at the moment.
