HELP lim problem

So I have a 2004 gp N/A I decided to change the lim after all the research I've done here I changed with new aluminum and coolant elbows, new upper intake gasket and spark plug plus wires and injector oring, pcv valve torqued everything correctly and changed oil 3 times to make sure clean but after turning on it over heats and smoke comes from front exhaust manifold and idles like crazy when I press the gas it feels like it wants to die out what did I do wrong didn't do it before

Like Scotty said bleed your coolant system. You should have a bleeder screw on your thermostat housing. As for the idling if not a vac leak try relearning your throttle position sensor. And what color is the smoke, white, gray, or black ?

Yeah I already had the bleeder screw open as I was pouring coolant in.....and where are the vacuum line on those the one thing that goes from hose with maf to uper intake I replaced was cracked...and its white smoke the more it heats up the more smoke comes out it looks like behind heat shield of exhaust manifold

If you spilled anything on the manifolds, it's going to smoke for a while. Any coolant or oil that touched it will smoke.

Take the thermostat out and fill the LIM with coolant then put it back together, fill the radiator and then start the car. As it heats up add more coolant if needed and then close the cap. Bleed the system with the bleed screw and make sure the overflow tank is at proper level. Once everything is bleed you can go drive it and when it cools down it should suck any needed coolant from the overflow back into the rad.

I'll try that so is it normal that the heat doesn't work or it gets a little hot up to third line before everything bled?and forgot to mention when I first put back together mixed up 2 spark plug wires for 2 min then fixed that maybe why it idles so crazy and makes it un drivable

you may have air in the heater core, take the two hoses off the alt bracket, put a garden hose to one hose and flush till water comes out the other hose. then hook em back on.

car warmed up, if you touch the two hoses one may be hot and the other cold, if so you got air in the core.

The way I would bleed the system.

Don't bother with the screw that does nothing but leak coolant all over the motor.
Start it up.. let it run for a couple minutes ensuring you keep the rad full
Turn it off.. wait a couple minutes, then start it back up and run for a couple more minute.
Do this a few times. What it does is helps to move any air that is in the system and opens the thermostat decently as well without overheating. Soon enough the vehicle will gulp down some coolant and all will be well again.

On the high idle. Check that all your injectors seated into the pockets correct and that the big hose from the brake booster to upper intake is fully connected.

I'm at a complete loss now tried everything said and nothing took injectors out sat them in tight then put fuel rail on with clips checked all air lines all nice and tight cleaned tb checked maf idles but when I press the gas bounces up and down....and opened up the bleed screw and it was like never ending air and the car almost reached heating all the way so I closed the screw and turned the car off the radiator is full and still no heat!!!aghhhh

take the t-stat out, put the housing and hose back on, see if your pumping coolant. water pumps have been known to rust to nothing and no longer pump coolant.

if you take the upper hose off the rad coolant should pump out the end with no t stat. if it pumps coolant out the t stat maybe locked up and failed. cheap enough for a t stat if thats it.

rad could also be clogged up.

spray the vac lines with carb cleaner, if the idle jumps up you found the leak area.

no matter how careful you are a vac line will break when doing a lim job.

I'm ready to get rid of the car and let it be someone else's problem the dam thing won't get fixed do you think maybe I replaced the lim wrong or something wrong aghh it over heats no matter what maybe I missed an o-ring or something everything was perfect before

Beats me, if you installed it wrong, the motor would be full of coolant already.

To me it sounds like tons of air in the cooling system still or the thermostat is not opening.

If if is really getting that warm the fans should be coming on full blast to try and cool it down.

Yup fans come on full blast and comes down a little but the heat works now and just need to get all the air out!but this dam problem with the thing running like crap I press on the gas a little and starts to idle weird that's what I'm more concerned about

Curious question, what brand of plugs did you buy and are the wires routed correctly??

Picture for reference.

NA and Sc cars has the same firing order.

Ac delco bought all parts from rock auto and yeah they are plugged correctly now I did mix them up the first time but still acts the same do you think new spark plug and wires again I bought the ac delco platinum spark plugs too

Not saying it's your problem, but you can't run plats with the waste spark system we have. It's known to cause misfire and eat those plugs, they can't hold up to the double spark they get.
