HELP HELP Have to jump stater. Wont spin tires HELP HELP!!

Ok so i cant get it to crank over with the key i have to jumpnthr starter with a wire and then once ita started. While having itnjacked up the tires do not move no matter where put the gear sealector and on mg computer it says current gear is 3 but when in have the car on it says 1st i was thinking neutral safty switch but plz help me figure this out oh and my car is a 2005 gtp
