so i have a 97 gtp, about 120,000 on motor, open cone and 180tstat, noticed i was runnin a little hot yesterday so i checked the oil.... and its pretty thin and smells like gas, it didnt get driven much at all with it like this thank god my fiancee wasnt driving it... i could notice almost a whistling noise coming from behind the s/c but im pretty dang sure its not the s/c as my boost gauge was acting normal. i checked the FPR and sucked on the vac line to it and i could get a faint taste of gas fumes but nothing terrible... took out my pcv valve and that still moves but im going to replace it anyways... im pretty sure my intake gaskets are bad though... could that be the cause of the gas in the oil? im going to replace the FPR and PCV valve, do ya'all think i should give it a flush of cheap oil and see if the gas doesnt come back or just do my intake gaskets???
thanks for all responses.

The whistling noise is likely your open cone intake.

I wouldn't drag on that vac line to the FPR. If it did have fuel in it you wouldn't like it too much, lol.. As long as fuel didn't come out of the line when removed then your FPR is usually good, but stranger things have happened.

What makes you think the intake gaskets are bad? Is it running rough? Any CEL on?

The whistling isn't my intake I know that for a fact, it's on the opposite side of the engine.
I didn't drag on it too hard since I've experienced the hard way of learning that lessonol.
But I'm sure my CeL light is on but the guy that owned it b4 me took the bulb out or something. I'm going to borrow my boss' scanner and get the codes Monday.
i think my LiM is bad becuz I have oil above my valve cover and all around there.
But she runs fine except like I said in the OP it was running hot and that's how I noticed something was wrong and realized I had gas in my oil. Could my LIM gasket cause the gas to get in my crankcase?
Thanks for the reply.

The whistling can be a bad S/C gasket, maybe your intake gaskets. The oil you see is from the valve covers. It sounds like you got some work to do though. I'd find a shop that has a smoke machine that can attach to your vac system and can tell you whereyou have leaks. Oil change, S/C gasket, LIM gaskets, valve covers and may as well do the PcV valve as well. The worst thing it could be is bad piston rings.

I'm pretty sure it's not the piston rings since it doesn't produce any white smoke at all...
I'll take some pics of where the oil is later today and post them.
And I just remembered that the whistling noise first started when I was spraying belt conditioner on my belts the other day... Could I have sprayed something I shouldn't have?

There's a little puddle of oil right behind the harnesses I'm holding up... Guess I'm gonna have to do valve cover gaskets and LIM... Weird thing is my oil level doesn't go down noticeably between oil changes...
