HELP ! Fuel rail shooting gasoline out

GTPROTOTYPE

New member
This is my first post on this forum. I was a part of clubgp years and years ago. Anyway, my 2000 Grand Prix GTP has not been started in about 6 years, it's original problem was a bad fuel pump (or so I believe).

This weekend I replaced:

Fuel pump
Fuel filter
Coolant Flush
Battery
Oil change
Spark Plugs (Auto Lite)
I used Marvel's Mystery Oil To lubricate the pistons
& I also pulled the ICM Sensor to crank the engine before attempting to start it.

The car has about 110K miles on it but I replaced the engine shortly before I stopped driving it (Thanks Ed Morad!) with an L32 with about 15K miles on it. When I cranked the engine, I could hear the Pistons moving and I know that's a good thing.

TLDR START HERE;

When I attempt to start the car, gasoline literally shoots out of the Bleeder (Schader) Valve on the fual rail... Like 4 feet high (At least I know the pump works !). Why would this be? I tried to google answers but it's a no go. Should I replace the valve (I googled the valve but can only find the A/C one; can it even be replaced? Fuel pressure regulator? I also fear that I may have accidentally damaged a fuel line when I jacked up the car to replace the fuel filter, part of one of the lines was under the jack. It looks undamaged but maybe I missed something?

Any information or help would be GREATLY appreciated. I can't wait to start driving this car, again.

Thanks for the reply... The rubber part, right? I was thinking that but when I google replacement Schader valves, I get no accurate results, only the A/C replacement valve, nothing for the fuel rails. I was thinking that maybe it deteriorated over time.

push the pin inside in and out a few times, then turn the key to run, see if that makes it tight again. mine got stuck down once too. fiddled with it, all good.

When I put the key in accessory mode and the pump primes, a little bit of gas leaks out and when I push in the pin, extra air and more gas comes out. So wouldn't that mean that it's not stuck because of the difference in the expulsion of air/gas when pressed?

Shoots..like4-5 feet high. It's crazy

lol you got good pressure then. seems like it was fine when parked, so id think its just stuck down a bit. give it a fiddling see if it stops leaking. dont be scared to move the pin side to side either, theres a seat valve in there, could be crusty from sitting.

I suppose it was stuck. I pressed it down once (as I had many times the day before) and now it's fine. Go figure

now dont touch it again, dont even look at it hard. after i posted i recalled what rail i had on that was doing the same. it was used one that had been off a car for who knows how long, years is my guess. i cut it up to make a custom fuel rail.
