• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hello, I'm Nekko. Just go hold of a 99 gtp with 201k for 700.00 runs, drives, small issues with wot sputter.

Planning on a tear down. Gaskets, plugs(one step colder al605),wires,trans fluid, oil, and 160stat) to try to get to healthy again

The gtp was owned by a 72 year old lady since it was new so only minimal abuse as far as I can see. But still 201k will probably mean i need to rebuild the motor.

Also I'm 25, new to the 3800sc but not new to cars I also own a 06 ms6 and 91 vr4

Sounds like a pretty nice find. Why are you going a step colder with the plugs and why a 160 tstat? The 160 will set off an ses light for the engine not heating up properly. It all depends on what your plans for the car are but a 180tstat is the coolest I would ever go and unless you plan on dropping pulley sizes I'd put stock heat range plugs back in. Just my $.02. Sounds like some nice cars and hope you enjoy it here on the forum!

After getting it healthy I'm going to be converting it to turbocharged with some supporting bolt ons

I haven't decided on what turbo and self tuned or pay for a tune. Among a lot of other things not trying to get ahead of myself lol

Both my ms6 and vr4 are both e85 self tuned and runs good times at the track

Sounds like you know what you want and what you're talking about haha. I'd love a turbo car but being a full time student doesn't really allow that.. Well this place is full of information so if you ever have any questions feel free to ask. Post some pics of these cars up! Lol.

Don't touch the bottem end, ever.

Leave it be, it will handle more power than you think and even with 201,000 miles I wouldnt even think about touching it. If it blows up it blows up. Save yourself the time now, then whenever it does die, just swap in a junkyard block and go.

So the game plan this weekend is to replace the intake manifold gaskets, plugs and wires and 180 stat.

Once I start getting into building it ill ne posting a build thread with ALOT of pictures
