hello, im new on the site, i own a 2000 grand prix gt, my dad bought it for my 16th birthday, and i just had a couple of questions. my gp is an automatic, and i really wanted a manual, how difficult wwould it be to swap out my transmission and drop in a stock manual tranny? also could i put in a supercharger from a gtp? i also wanted to purchase a new exhaust, any suggestions?im not sure if these questions seem stupid or not ive just never worked on a car much, but im very interested in it.

Welcome

a manual tranny swap has been done before, but its not a good idea, it cost a TON of money and with fab work its a pain in the ass, and only a certain tranny can be swapped and it costs mega bucks.

as for the supercharger, yes you can do that. Tons of people have done that on here.

as for exhaust, im my opinion dont do it, these cars sound like butt with mufflers on. The stock exhaust sound good when you have headers and other mods and is still quite on the freeway unlike aftermarket mufflers that give you DRONE. Plus the stock cat back has no flow issues when it comes to modding, so no need to change it.

Tranny swaps are never worth the time, effort, or money, on any car. It's always cheaper to sell the car and buy the manual version of the car. Just mod what you've got.
