• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

It is really hard to behave and comply, but honest! they asked me to be sure to INTRODUCE myself first here.
Call me Tim tho I like it better than my first name LOL
I had to re-register tho... hmmmm maybe been too long since I was here before...
So I am Tim from Iowa and my toy is a 4 door 1992 GP, 3.1L high miles (500K+) and lots of neglect ( :( ) unavoidable.
Time to restore this cup cake back to the best possible condition.
So thats my story and I am sticking to it!
See ya all in the HELP ME PLEASE sections. :)

Tim
yeah From Iowa!!!!!!!
:)

Thanks for the replies fivefingerdeathpunch (that's a mouthful!) and Madness.
Yeah, it is a bunch, I bought the car in 1993 at 20K (Program vehicle) and the mileage was at 144K by mid 95. Just got it broke in then.
I did so much travel I was living in the car literally. The odometer quit (dash panel issue) and I drove that route for 5 more years. So had to manage miles by log book.
Maybe the miles do not count if they are not counted??
I will try to get a few pictures soon, of the sad n current state, all of her youth pictures are packed away yet.
I had to put her into storage several years ago, forced to have another mechanic work on her (what a mistake) and .. well.. the family wants me to junk the poor soul ASAP. Have had to fight for her future! on many family gatherings.
Maybe I can get pics yet this week....*It's a Goal!!!*

Pictures you have asked for so ...
with a question as well.
So I am replacing the vacuum hoses, radiator/heater hoses, and rubber stuff. @0 years most of em and rot in due process.
I ran across one that comes from the top of the trans-axle housing and connects to a pipe behind the battery. The other end of this pipe, is open and goes to no where.
Am I missing something? "Knowledge, a hose, .. brains!"
So later I will get pics of the filthy beast all around, just no room in the garage "or light" to do overall pics.
Also would it not be best to now start a new thread for the rest of my story?
What a blog thread? Where I could just record what I find learn or destroy! ?Where to place a blog thread....?
What I found so far is the work done previously was really up to par! Like instead of soldering the wires together, oh heck lets try welding em! and the VSS connector, shall only need (1 "ONE") of the purple wires connected to it, just trim off the other, wait! NO! lets leave it bared and dangling against the engine block!

I am shuddering at what next I shall find and need to UNDO REPAIR!
I remind self though that is my choice to have allowed others to work on baby..

Sample of the pipe/hose
Met my quota here for uploads already so
Maybe have to make a web page of this for blogging.
