Hello from Grande Prairie, Alberta...GTP dies while driving,MAF & EVAP codes

I have a 1999 Pontiac GTP 3.8L supercharged. Codes are MAF and EVAP.
Engine bucks and farts and stalls. Replaced MAF still doing it. Will run for a few days after clearing codes and disconnecting the battery. Checked voltage on MAF and reads 2.62v. A month ago it was reving up and down and stall when it was first fired up...code P0102 & P0442! I had the fuel pump and resistor replaced last year.
Now it will die while driving in traffic! What happen to LIMP HOME MODE?

Any Idea's?

Try disconnecting the MAF, see if it will drive then. If not, it might be the fuel pump resistor, although probably not. Do a quick search and there is a photo floating around showing you how to bypass the fuel pump resistor with bending pin 85 on the relay; try that just to rule it out. It could be the CPS, too.

Yes ...disconnected the MAF...doing the same. New MAF...same thing. I've read about the CPS being a problem and is a fairly big job to change. I think I'll get on the scope and still do the job myself. No code for the CPS though...and it didn't lose the tach as it says in other threads. The engine goes berserk when just running in the driveway...pinging, sputtering, revs up/down and the boost vale opens and closes rapidly...and stalls! On the road it just dies.

thanks for the respons

Just spent another $150 on MAF! The voltage on this one is 2.57-2.62. the ohms were way off on the one I removed... 11.6 on the yellow compared to 9.6 ohm on this new one. 9.3 ohms on the pink and only 5.8 on this new one! Usually have a few days of driving before it goes bursurk again...60-80kms. Still driving OK though.
thanks for the tip...I'll check it out next!!
