so i live n peoria ill not to many car ppl around i have just bought a 99 gtp first superchager car i have had lots of honda and eclipse turbo and n/a and im not to sure about my boost gage seems to not show all bars with WOT im sure you guys have talked about the same things on here but cant seem to find it... any help???

Stock gtp should should show 8-9 psi of boost IIRC.

It depends actually.

Normal is around 7...closer to sea level would be around 8-9..higher than sea level would be about 6 I'd say
He's question had to do with the factory digital boost gauge in the DIC.

Welcome OP. to answer your question the DIC should max at WOT. More than likely the plug going to the BBV is either unplugged or messed up.

Was wondering that myself also on the digital boost gauge but can confirm the 99car GTP I just bought with 205xxx miles shows full bars at max throttle so thanks for the info txslow6. Hope my input helped your answer your question since it sounds like we have the same ride :)

On a similar note, I see vacuum as low as 25psi going downhill when I'm set on cruise at a lower speed than im going. Like if I'm set at 70 going 75 downhill and let off the gas the psi will drop. I never saw lower than 22 until I replaced all of my vac lines, does anyone have any experience with what normal ranges should be?

i have the same exact car... except mine has a salvage title... :( but they are fast cars and stylish... :)

IIRC normal range at idle should be around -20, but it has been awhile since I've driven a S/C Grand Prix.

Yeah I'm right there at idle, I just had never seen it go down to -24 before the new vac lines. And I used bigger, 5mm I think, silicone lines... I'm being paranoid I guess. It's only when I'm going down hill that I see it that low. Usually, cruising when throttle position is 0 i stick at like -20/21.
