Hey Guys! Just joined up. Hoping to learn from you guys.

A little bit about me... I'm 18, currently live in Elkhart IN, but just moved from WNY (my parents wanted to be closer to family, and in a lower tax state). I do not have a car, but am the families mechanic. I would like to get either a Grand Prix, or Intrigue for my first car. Just need the cash to do it, lol.

Anyways, I love w-bodies, how many other cars can you fit 5 friends in semi-comfortably, and get 30MPG? And the 3.8NA is nearly bullet proof, so I figure good first car choice.

Looking to learn, and help out as much as I can!

Welcome here. These cars are pretty good cars that are easy to work on.

That is part of the reason I want one. My Dad has a 96 Buick Regal, with the 3800II NA, and besides one of the spark plugs on the back, pretty easy engine to work on. Most serious thing I did was to replace the plenum/lower intake manifold gaskets. Only thing that went wrong was I forgot to put the PCV valve back in. Engine ran really odd, lol.

trial and error is how we all learn. I have done some really bone head things when i was first learning.
