• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hello! A 3800 lover has come back home!

This will be the second 3800 car I've owned, the other being a 99 Regal GS. I loved that car and swore I'd own another and regretted getting rid of it from the day I traded it off. I've gone through a few cars in between and ended up trading off a busted Jeep Wrangler for my current car, a 99 Grand Prix GT. Right now it's still rough, and while I miss having my supercharger, I'm really happy to be back in the 3800 family.

This is my first 3800 love

^^Same.

Lord knows a new set of headlights and some HID's will make a HUGE night and day difference, not only with looks but with visibility at night too.

I'd tint the windows and tint those tails tho...my least favorite taillight choice. Debadge and get some inlays...are all really cheap ways to turn that car around quick :)

Yeah guys, those heads are terrible. They're definitely on the to do list. And I agree that the tails are ugly as all hell. They came with the car and have been trying to find someone to trade me for some stock ones.

I've got some mechanical things to take care of before I get to the cosmetics though. It's got some pretty serious dex sludge build up so a flush is my first plan of action. Also, the guy I bought it off of (same guy that put the grill inserts and chrome tails on) put in a catback exhaust on and totally botched it. He didn't get rid of the u-bend, there's no resonator and it drones like mad, and the tips are very noticeably off with one pipe a good inch and half longer than the other. One of the heat shields is rattling and I've yet to pin point it. The a/c compressor is dead as well. I also have issues with some of my gauges not working and need to look into that. None of it is overly life threatening, but maintenance before mods!

When I do get to the cosmetics, I'll take care of the heads and tails and clear up some rust spots and rock dings. I'm also not fond of the color and I'd like to change that later on down the road. Those and some things like tint trim stuff and I'll be happy.

Yeah, not a fan either. I prefer regular gloss colors over metallics. I'd like to go white or yellow. Paint is still a little down the road though.
