Heater Problems

I have 2002 Grand Prix SE 3.1L
The heater works for a little bit then blows cold air.

I recently had the intake gasket replaced, put in a new thermostat flushed the radiator and flushed the heater core 4 times.
and the heater was not working correctly before this work was done and it still does not work correctly after this work was done.


Looking for a fix to get the heater working correctly?

Welcome to the forums. You may try posting this in the 3.1 section to get some better attention. BUT, from what I know this sounds like you need to bleed the cooling system. If you did it already, then try it again. What does the temp gauge say you are running at? Does it fluctuate? If it heats up then drops down then that could be a sign of air in the system. Either that or a clogged heater core. When the heat drops out pop the hood and feel the 2 heater hoses. They should both be hot. If one is not then there is a restriction in the core.
