Heated Seat Won't Turn Off on GF's Equinox Also an AC Question

My girlfriend's 2005 Equinox drivers side heated seat wont turn off, (stupid question time!) I can just reach under it and SIMPLY unplug the power to the heater right? I don't want to unplug the fuse as I use the passenger side seat and the heat helps my tailbone The AC is odd.. when you're at a light no cold air, start moving again hold on to your nipples that s is cold. I checked the level using a gauge and it was fine. Was wanting to brainstorm here before I take it to my buddies dads shop and purge, vacuum and refill. Maybe a blocked orifice tube? both engine fans are working too. low and high speed
