I have a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix 3800 Supercharger. The problem is the heating system. Seems it blows really low even when the fan is turned up to 4 and when turned up to 5 the fan shuts off. There also is not alot of heat seems to be coming out when stopped at a light it blows cold and when you take off it starts to blow some heat. I changed the thermostat and replenished the coolant then had the system flushed out at the garage where they hook a machine to it. Seems it work somewhat a little bit but back to cold air. Any ideas?
 


Just asking but what number fuse is it and secondly how could that fuse cause the heat to blow cold? I'm in no ways a mechanic I just want some info on the fuse and how it could cause the problem of blowing cold air.
 
The fuse box in the glove compartment should say on it abbreviations for what the fuses are for. If the fuse is gone it wouldn't work on high at all because the power isn't getting through the circuit for it. The fuse is about $1, so it is a really cheap fix if it is gone. If it isn't the fuse it could be a resistor.
