heat shield connects to the...? (and how to attach?)

Hey guys,

I noticed some funny vibration and took a peak under my 2006 GP to see what I could see and it looks like the heat shield (i think that's what it is?) has been knocked off its mount.

I figured I could just unscrew the knob, push the shield back into place, and screw the knob back in... but I then I realized that the knob might be some kind of plug on the gas tank (which is half full at the moment) and the last thing I want is to be hosed down with gasoline.

I took a few pictures in hopes of getting some feedback here.

You can see the heat shield hanging down here:

Here's the mounting hole on the shield:

And here's the part that goes through the mounting hole which is connected to the gas tank, as seen in the first picture... I'm guessing it's held in place with a phillips screw in the center of the hole.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

edit: I'm not sure if this was the best subforum or not - sorry if it should be somewhere else.

Hm..

so upon further inspection it looks like it's some kind of clip that's missing that goes through the heat shield to hold it up against the tank... Anyone have any ideas where I can pick up a replacement or what I could use as a substitute? As far as I can tell, that hole isn't threaded.

Edit:
Just to document the part, should anyone be interested in the future:
