Hearing pop sound from front passenger side...ball joint??

I have my 97 GP SE, 3.8 non supercharged, i keep having a popping sound coming from the front passenger side...usually does it when I turn the wheel either left or right and expecially while turning the wheel and backing up. Im not to car savy but im thinking possibly the ball joint, anyone have a better clue?
 


The tire has a little play in it, is that usually more ball joint then?....everything looks to be tight and i didnt see anything broke. I have read that this is pretty common from some of the other posts!
 
Ok I will try that and see what I see...I had the outer tie rod end replaced about 2 months ago, forgot about that until you said that..I will let you know what i see...thanks for the help though
