HeadsUp Display and Message Center Not Working. And Ignition Sometimes Wont Turn Off?

Picked up an 03 GTP 3.8sc last week from a buddy of mine. The car has been sitting for a few months so I changed the oil and put a new battery on it today. The heads up display and message center are not working and sometimes the ignition won’t go all the way off and I cant get the key out. My buddy said it all worked fine the last time he used the car...
Anyone have any ideas?
 


I was thinking it might be the little solenoid on the shifter that activates when the car is in park, but that wouldn't explain why the heads up display isn't working??
 
Did anyone ever get anywhere with this. I am working the same issue. Im trolling the other forums as well but have not found anything yet.
