headlights flicker and pulse.

Does anyone know what would make the headlights (most noticeable)and other lights on my 97 GPGT pulse and flicker?
This has been happening for about a month now.The alternator was checked a few days ago,but the battery light came
on last night,on the way home.I've read the solution to this problem before on here, but don't remember because I wasn't
experiencing the problem at that time.
 


Provided your not running a big stereo, it could be ground wires gone bad. Check all of the big power wires to see if any of them are corroded.
 
All power wires are clean and tight.I'm thinking it may be a voltage regulator,even though the alternator isn't a year old yet.
