Headlight buffing/restoration

There are 2 how to threads on here for sanding/buffing dull yellowish crappy headlights. Has anyone had experience using a product like this instead?

There are a couple different brands but the point remains the same - they don't require sanding. Will they work as well as the sanding method?

There is also a 3M kit here which including sanding wheels that attach to a drill. Recommendations? One guy sanded them painted with clear engine enamel, another sanded then buffed with turtle wax. Then there are these 2 kits... just looking for feedback

ive used that kit and many others, there all the same, the only diffence is the pads and buffers that come with it, once you find a good pad just use that and buy the cheap stuff
 
I recently used the 3M kit on my headlights, i would use it anytime, sometimes it is better however to use the kit along with some hand sanding to help things get better, thats what ive gotta do with mine, the kit was good but wasnt enough paper in it lol but the pads are worth it!

I sand with kit, add extra sanding in between steps if need be with my own paper, then use the polishing stuff in the kit or my own meguires ultimate compound, or both lol then a coat of the wax stuff they provide.. works good.
