Headers and DP?

Okay probably a stupid question. i have a 3" catless slp dp. if i were to get lets say ssac or pacesetter headers.. would these two go together? ive never seen the headers except in pictures and outside of the car they look like they extend farther than the manifold did which would mean to far out to properly connect to a dp. but alot of pictures looks like they come with a sort of dp? so im confused could someone with more modding experience explain please?

Truth.

If you get headers your current DP is now worthless. Sell it to recoup some $$ or use the tubing for a DIY project somewhere.

With the speed daddy's hitting 150-170 on ebay there is NO REASON to consider the plog/ported manifolds/dp nonsense anymore.
 
awesome thanks guys. i got my downpipe used for cheap from a buddy of mine so its not a big deal but yeah i see headers in my future. thanks between your simple answers and what ive read elsewhere ive got it now.
