Who has done this? Is it generally a problem for playing CDs at a slanted angle?
I have a Alpine CDA-9855 I figure it should be OK. Any recommendations on putting the head unit in the glove box?

hot rodders do it fairly often, the issue comes when you try and change cd's (I can barely reach the glovebox in my car without my head dropping below the dash) the angle shouldn't hurt as long as it's small (20* or so I think is what the recommend it should say in your owners manual)

Well I usually burn MP3 CD's with like 50+ songs so I don't change it often. LOL Owners manual, hmm not going to be able to find it. Maybe I can come up with a mounting system that will work.

omer's nanual

:D

shouldnt be too bad, but if you want to be sure on the angle, you could cut out part of the very back of the glove box, and mount the head unit to the dash, itself, and the glovebox/door would just go around it.
