Head bolt removal?

I was changing valve springs and my buddies compressor gave out causing the valve to drop. I've gotten all but one of the bolts loosened the last one unable to get any sort of socket or breaker bar on it. Any tips guys?

Its not possible to fish the valve out with a magnet? Or was the piston at the bottom of its stroke?

I already sprayed some Pb blaster on it Ill let it soak for a few hours.

Piston was at the bottom didn't occur to me to put it at TDC before doing it.

I just went through removing my heads a couple hours ago. The same stud on both heads refused to budge. I used vice grips (since I will be going to headers anyways) and it came out some what easily. tap in a few times on the heads with a hammer to "let it know it is about to be removed!" (breaks seized threads free)

Make sure you use a tap to clean the head bolt holes in the block. Go as deep as you can, then spray them out with brake clean. This will ensure a proper torque reading and the new head bolts sealing. You might consider having the heads reconditioned while you have them off.
