HD radio and one other question

So I'm gonna just get a single DIN radio and throw it in. I've always been a Pioneer fan so I'm looking at some lower end Pioneers(my days of big expensive stereos are long gone, just looking for a cheap $150-ish H/U). I noticed that a Pioneer in my price range has a built in HD receiver...is HD radio really worth it? I don't care about blue tooth, usb ports etc..I just want something that sounds decent that plays MP3's..the HD would just be an added bonus I guess. So is it worth it?

Also, do I have a Bose system? I have 2 tweeters in the A-pillar, 2 door speakers and 2 in the rear deck. Is there any special way to wire the new H/U in or is it just another basic install with a regular 'ol wire harness?

Thanks guys.

HD adds more stations. I listen to 96.1 in ATL and I disocvered that they have an alternate broadcast that can only be picked up by HD. Same station, but I push the up arrow and presto, 96.1 alternate.

HD also makes a huge difference in AM frequencies. It brings the quality close to regular FM.

I've got a pioneer unit very similar to the one you posted (probably last year's model or something). I rarely use the HD radio feature, as there aren't very many stations in my area, and I'm not a huge fan of radio anyways, I mostly use the ipod input. If you're not in an area with a large city I don't see hd radio as being much of an advantage

Haven't listened to radio in years, maybe espn sports on the rare occasion.

Load my 320kbps mp3s onto my 8gb memory stick and plug into the units wired port in my glove box. One can arrange the music anyway you want into groups, very easy to find stuff.

My unit is an older Pioneer DEH-3000, never have had one problem with it, I would think the 6000 series even better.
