• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Having a very difficult time diagnosing this issue!

I'm not exactly sure where to post this question, and I didn't find any other posts that were similar so I apologize if it has already been asked recently.

But I need some serious help trying to figure out what this damn problem is with my car, keep in mind I'm still learning with this sassy car. Its been problem after problem and I can't keep up!

The other day it was kinda rainy, not super wet, but as I left my driveway my ABS light popped on, so did my traction light, had almost not brakes, it was almost as if my ABS was completely working against me. Shut it off, started back up just fine, drove it for however long and never had that problem again. Now today, it's kinda rainy again, and started just find, parked at a gas station to run in quick, came back out to start it and now I have nothing, wouldn't start, and my key is stuck forward in the ignition. Now call me vague, but that's literally all its doing. No strange issues, noises, lights, nothing, just nothing.

Any idea where to start would be super helpful. I love this car, but I can't keep up with all these problems if I gotta keep taking it in to get it looked at. Thanks guys!! (:

And we just replaced the MAS and the wheel bearing about a month ago.

if its no longer cranking, nor is the horn working the battery died locking the key to on. jumper cables to your battery will let the key turn back.

or you have a plug under the wheel, pop th eplug out and push inside with a pen, stick, a straw, what ever you got, this is the key release.

the abs issue, get the car scanned at a shop for abs codes. could be a bad ebcm.

Yeah, but this battery issue has been happening on and off for the past couple months. I know I can always jump it, I was just curious if there was a common issue that people have had with this before that could tell me how to fix it. Cables are tight to the battery and everything.

I'll be sure to get the car scanned though for the ABS issue.

I had a very similar issue with the abs/traction/stability control lights coming on. Sometimes when pulling into a parking spot my abs would randomly come on and I almost put her through the garage door. Turned out to be a wheel beering with the build in ABS sensor. I only changed one and now im getting the random lights again and they go away when I turn the car off and on and sometimes don't reappear for a few weeks. My car only has about 70k miles on it and the wheel bearings are toast. In fact when I took the other one off it came off in pieces.

If your key is stuck forward make sure there is no pressure on your steering wheel. IE: Wheels turned when you shut the car off. If you have pressure on the wheel turn it in the opposite direction and turn the key.

Alright! I'm seriously hoping my ABS issue is completely solved once this battery issue gets solved, since once I got it started to get it back home the ABS light returned! But I did check my grounds and that's my issue, I cleaned up the contact with a wire brush for the second time hoping that'll hold it for the night.

Just gonna replace that and seriously hope this petty problem is over with.

Thanks guys!

you probally have a bad harness for your abs sensor, common problem you can get replacement for around $20.00 and about 1/2 hour of your time
