have a chance to pick one up for 60 bucks, in good shape guy dosent know what its worth. just was wondering how much work goes into replacing the stock one? or have a sd wing I can get for 150, that dosent require drilling, I don't know what do you guys think?

Well if you want to make the 40th work your gonna have to drill new holes, fill in the old ones and repaint your trunk lid as under the stock spoilers its nasty or find a 40th trunk lid. The SD one you may or may not have to enlarge the trunk holes to get it to fit right. 60 bucks doesn't seem bad people usually try to sell them for like 90-125 bucks I think.

Agreed that the price on the spoiler itself is solid. It's just a matter of how much you're willing to do/spend to get it to work. If you can do the work yourself (fill in the old holes, drill out new ones + paint), then obviously you will save substantially. If not, it's going to cost a decent chunk to have it done by a shop. Granted, either spoiler will need to be painted to match your car, so I wouldn't take that part into the equation. Alternatively, you can try to find a spoilerless SE trunk lid in the yard so you can avoid filling in preexisting holes.

Personally, I think the Daytona/Spec Ed/40th spoiler is the best looking one for these cars. It extends the trunk lid out instead of up, and accentuates the body lines better than any other spoiler.
