• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

has anyone seen this???

his concepts seem right, but why would a blower meant for a little 4 banger work well on a v6 with a much larger displacement. he is going to have to spin it out of its efficiency range in order to get the boost he wants. i still think he is going to end up with something that costs way more for very marginal gains.

Exactly! For that money do something proven and will get more HPs like a turbo.

i give the dude credit for trying to be different, but ill never get why he went about it this way. i always like unique setups, but this is one that i just cannot back.

i dont wanna start a big argument but since he cant be here to defend himself i think i should at least pass along some info

the whole swap has cost him about what an intercooler costs for our cars and the tvs is 81 cubic inches, not very small for a 3.8 if you think about it!

and last i checked the project was almost done and it should be on the dyno next weekend! i think this is awesome!!!

feel free to pass information along in this thread. im anxious to see the results, but im just not very confident in it.

Honestly, no one really cares for info from a guy that sh1t on everyone here and has screwed over plenty of valuable members here as well.

There is a reason he and his "info" are not here. Also, since you know him obviously, pass on the "info" that he can quit attempting to get new accounts here, it's a waste of his time.

i'm talking to him right now on facebook but anyway who did he screw over? ive had him work on my car a bunch of times and he never even charged me for it. is there smoething i should know? he seems like a good guy but i dont want any trouble

what do you think it's gonna make for power? i think his baseline was 290 with the m90

i honestly have no idea. i dont know how to read efficiency plots or map out what kind of boost he is making or what he changed in the process besides the blower.

I think he's going to have some trouble tuning it w/o a tuner. Let him know the offer is still open to use the tuner.

If you would like to see some of the issues, read the TVS thread from CGP

How do you figured it is going to be on a dyno this weekend when he doesn't even have the bottom adapter plate made yet?

His cost ratio is WAY off. What do you think one of those blowers cost? What did the adapter plate cost?

Not to mention it's not proven. Yes it's a cool idea but worth the money probably not.

ORIGINAL: SLoW SHO

So far the budget isn't working out too bad...

TVS with 3 pulleys $1200
Adapter plate $300
M62 for mockup $80
Alt Relocation $60

Sold my GenV and pulleys/MPS for $700

So far this has cost me $940. I'm pretty confident that I wont need a whole lot more as there isn't much left to do.

it looks like its about 1600 bucks minus whatever parts he sold
he told me that the aluminum plate can be cut in an hour theyre just working out fitment issues with a fuel rail

Closing this down before things get out of hand. Admins will be asked review and open if they see fit.

GenV Your constant posting looks very much like Nick's (aka Snowflakes). There's no winning for anyone with the way this appears to be going.

I'm all for something different. Slow SHO has always been known to get a rise out of people. I say let it be.
