is the drone unbareable if any at all? my mufflers fell off well kinda, the welds broke so i took em the rest of the way off. i dd the car now so i dont want much drone, but not quiet stock thinking about just getting magnaflow but would preffer a borla setup or a slp bullet y'd into straights/tips out the back. any help full info here?
 


I had borla on many vehicles and have no complaints what so ever. I also have SLP on my Gtp and I like it as well......so I guess I'm no help sorry
 
Well generally exhaust on a GXP = sounds tits for the most part. Stock exhaust on the 3800 = sounds like poo. Borla on a 3800 = sound swell. So in theory GXP + Borla = hot steamy sex
 
There to many factors involved on your question. You could have a magnaflow and achieve the same result. All depends on pipe diameter..smooth bends etc...
 


And I would go 3inch piping all the way back there is a website someone posted to get our piping. I think it was 91parkave

ok let me give alittle more info lol i appoligize though i didnt quite think all this through before i posted it. my car had a after market exhaust on it when i bought it nothing special, then it was cut off and replaced with generic oem replacement mufflers i assume because it was some what quiet when i got it but not quite stock. anyways the resonator is no longer on the car anymore and as far as the piping its still stock from mainifolds 2.5 all the way back. my mufflers are just no longer intact after the y pipe any more and i need to put somthing back in place there for a year or so until i decide to redo the whole exhaust completely. pretty much just the mufflers, i dont want alot of drone it had alittle before and it was fine but i dont want anything near how it is now with no exhaust at all. im thinking borla magnaflow or slp and im open to suggestions
 
Borla.. Then I say if your still not in love throw either a replacement resonator (I think Magnaflow or a glasspack) in it
 


Yup resonator and glasspack help prevent drone (preferably you want to run the longest one that you can) Borla XS power is what I run but I bet it'll sound a bit more different on the GXP.

Exhaust is all opinionated for the most part what sounds good to one person might not to the other and it's really kind of a trial/error type of thing sometimes you have to rework it till you find something that you enjoy.
 
I literally just recieved my Borla Pro XS mufflers, magnaflow stainless glasspack to replace res, and SLP tips. Will install probably 1-2 weeks

Lmao that's the exact same setup I ended up going with except for the tips, I got some stainless oval flomasters 2.5x4.25 I believe I couldn't find the dual 4" stainless magma flow tips like the ones that come in the exhaust kit that I want. I have the staggered slp dual 3" or3.5" tips on my car now. I don't like the offset tips, does anyone know if u can buy just the magna flow tips I'm talking about?
