harmonic balancer pulley

Have an 07 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP 5.3L. The harmonic balancer pulley is spinning unevenly. I know you have to drop the engine cradle to get bolt out. Is there another way to do that without dropping the engine cradle?

Not really. You don't have to drop the entire cradle, but you do have to drop the passenger side quite a bit and loosen the bolts on the drivers side. It doesn't take as long as it seems, but it is still a decent job depending on how comfortable you are wrenching on something.
