Hard Starting 92 Grand Prix 3.1

I have a 92 Grand Prix that's starting very hard cold. It starts fine warm but when cold, takes too much cranking to get it running. I've read where pumping the gas pedal does no good with this vehicle and that it's either a fuel pump/filter issue OR perhaps something like a coolant sensor acting up. I don't know what the fuel pump pressure is but recently had the pump and filter replaced by a local reputable repair shop. I do on the other hand, have a red indicator that's ON, on my dash by the temp gauge that indicates something is up with the cooling system - just didn't pay too much attention to it because the gauge is fine. Once the engine is started, the car runs great and warm starts fine. It's just after it's set for a few hours or overnight when the constant cranking is necessary to get it running. I've been told that I should be able to hear this fuel pump running but I can't hear this one running anymore than I could the last but until the recent problem where I had the fuel pump replaced, it always started like a dream (just turn the key and it ran fine). Any ideas folks?

Maybe you can buy or somebody/local auto store/shop can loan you a few gauges(fuel, vacuum, compression, coolant, exhaust back pressure,OIL). A OBDII SCANNER would be golden to have. If your not getting any real definate clues of what it is or any DTC's then your best bet is to just check all your fluid levels and make sure all your pressure specs are good. You dont want to start off by just throwing parts at it. It may be something as lil as just a dirty TB/sticky butterfly, dirty MAF,IAC,clogged air filter, or maybe even a fouled plug or o2 sensor.

When u first start your car, the motor is cold and is in what they call "open loop" so sometimes things could sound a lil weird until it starts to warm up "closed loop". And now that im thinking, u said its hard to start when cold so just check the battery first. Your battery has a certain amount of CCA and maybe the battery is just starting to get worn out and cant handle the cold conditions
