ok so here are the symptoms

> weather the engine is cold or hot, or the weather is cold or hot, it makes no difference... when i start the car, it cranks and cranks for about 5 to 10 seconds then turns over. right away i have to put my foot on the gas (only for a second) to keep it running or it will stall instantly. after giving it a second on the gas it runs perfectly. no fluctualtin idle or anything. i dont even notice any loss of performance.

> it did stall on me ONCE. after i just got off the freeway for about a 5 minute 75 mph ride. it started up the same way it has been. cranks for a few seconds then turns over.

>the only code its throwing is P0420. something to do with emission threshold too high bank 1 i think, or something like that.

> bought the car with 133xxx miles. now has almost 135xxx. although the odometer has those white lines between the digits which i know means it was altered. could mean a replacement cluster, could mean the guy screwed me. the only way to narrow down the real milage is carfax which im broke so... lol

> i recently replaced the fuel pump with a cheap chinese ebay oem POS. also a cheap chinese made ebay MAF. the MAF threw a code and it has since disappeared after i replaced it.

> i have collected from this forum a few posibilities... bad fuel pump, fuel filter, FPR, IAC, PCV, MAF, this sensor, that sensor, the other sensor, a combination of 652 different sensors (lmao). just wanna know how to test for all the posibilities cause i dont wanna just jump in and start replacing stuff and by time im done, have replace avery sensor, valve, relay, and regulator on the entire car.

> your help is much appreciated

Thanks!!!

Ok... I know there's a special tool for checking fuel line pressure but where do I hook it up at? I can prolly rent the tool from autozone or somewhere like that.

Would the bad cat code cause my starting issue? It is original cat.

Thanks!
