halo issues.

i got my projectors less than a year ago and my driver side light has burned both halos out... whether its high or low beam. anyone experienced this before... i checked all my wiring and everything is connected good. i was thinking the inverter may have went out. like to get it fixed. looks gay as helll with one sided halos.

One of my halo's is half lit. One of the two LED's went out.. I've only had mine for a little bit.. not even a full year. You can probably get new LED's and replace them if you want too. Which Halo's do you have? Are they the new CCFL ones? Or just the standard LED lit halo's?

they are CCFL's from protuning. i paid like 300 bucks for these things.. pretty sad they already ****ed up. i emailed them about my warranty but havent heard from them yet. ive had them for like 9 months. for both halos in one light to go out just leads me to believe its the inverter.

Yea I would think the same thing.. That's pretty sh1tty dude.. Hopefully you get your warranty in place.

well after days of waiting for a response from protuning. i finally left them a very nasty voicemail today and ensured them they would never get my business again. im gonna cross my fingers and order new inverters.

silly question but how would you wire the halo rings into the inverter/ballast? If the rings went out ud think itd be the leds that went bad. Maybe they got wet?

i have no moisture at all in my lens. since both halos went out at the same time, kinda makes me think its not the actual bulbs out. its already wired into the halos.. its a plug and play deal on that. halos have a female end and the inverter has a male end. and the one inverter powers both halos in the light.

So I was thinking today that its very possible that you got moisture on the actual male and female connections and shorted the inverter. those connections have to be water tight and the shrink tube does not always do a good job. if you cut off the shrink tube and them turn on your halos you should hear a sizzling sound. thats the moisture in between the connector. if thats the case just turn off the halos, disconnect the connectors and dry them off. once dry reconnect them and your lights should come back on, and instead if using shrink tube just wrap the good in electrical tape and call it a day.
just a thought.
