Halo Headlights Wired to Switch

Hey Guys,
So as a proud new owner of a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP I need to ask a favor of you guys.

The person who had this car before me loved it and it shows, he probably even raced it.

He put a new hood on, custom taillights, custom exhaust, pretty much everything that can be done except for custom fog lights. The only problem is that he put in custom headlights, the angel eyes ones with the Halos. The problem being he wired the halos (Not the headlights) to a switch in the car, what for I don't know, but it gets annoying because I sometimes forget to turn it off and I hate it, it sucks my battery and I've had to jump it once or twice.

That's from the back of the headlight, and he wires it to this

which then goes past the wiper fluid reserve and down into the car switch. He wired the headlights themselves correctly as they turn on correctly at night, and I was wondering how to rewire the halos to do the same. Here's a pic of one.

Any ideas? I have no clue where the headlights go from the blue modifier.
Thanks Guys
- Zach
P.S. Sorry about the huge images, my phones only so large so I didn't think it would happen :th_shakinghead2:

Sooo whatcha wanna do Zach? You want them on when the parking lights are on? On when the headlights are on and off? Tell us what you are hoping to achieve and we can make suggestions.

I would like to get them on when the regular lights are on, meaning like whenever the headlights are on I want those to turn on,

I hooked up halo rings that I had put in my other set of headlights that I sold. I used a fuse tap and ran a power wire over to a switch for them by the steering column. Worked great. Had it so they could only be on when the car was started or key was in the on position.

Yea. Give me a little bit here and I can throw together a couple pics and a few links to get you going in the right direction.

Alright. So here we go.

Invest in either a solder gun and solder to connect wires OR a crimper and splices.

1) Get your hands on a fuse tap either here Mini ATM Fuse Tap Add on Dual Circuit Adapter Auto Car Terminal 7A 10A 15A 20A | eBay (or someplace similar)
OR
go to your local auto parts store and pic one up for like $6.

2) Aquire wiring for running power from the fuse to the switch to the rings as well as a ground wire.

3) Get yourself a switch of some kind. Like this one if you want Calterm Blk Oval Rocker Red LED Switch 30Amp 12V 40393 | eBay

4) Find a 10amp fuse in the glove box fuse block and remove it and place the fuse tap with 2 10amp fuses in its place. That is now your power wire.

5) Install switch in location of your choosing

6) Ground the switch

7) Hook up power wire to the switch

8) Run wiring to the halo rings

9) Ground the halo rings by clearing off the paint not far from the lights

10) Check and see if I forgot something

11) Try it out and see if they work

I may have forgot something rather important. I have done this quite a bit now so it comes natural. If it doesn't make sense just let me know and I will try to get some pics of what I am talking about.
